About the role
We're hiring a Solutions Engineer to lead implementations and customizations of our platform with real customers. It's the hinge role between sales and delivery: you work with the AE in pre-sales (technical discovery, demos) and then lead the pilot + go-live with the customer.
This is not a support role — it's a role of engineering applied to the customer. You write code, configure integrations, solve specific problems per value chain, and become an expert in each customer's particularities (coffee exporters, meat processors, retailers, etc.).
What you'll do
- Technical discovery with customers: mapping the value chain, identifying CTEs/KDEs, designing end-to-end data flow.
- Custom integrations: connecting Darwin with customer ERPs (SAP, Oracle, custom), IoT sensors, legacy systems via APIs.
- Leading the pilot: configuring Captia/Tracium/Fidenta for the specific case, training users, debugging in production.
- Go-live and scale-up: moving from pilot to full deployment, training the customer to be self-sufficient.
- Product feedback: you are the voice of the customer to engineering — feature requests, pain points, gaps.
- Technical documentation: implementation playbooks, integration guides, use cases.
- Pre-sales: supporting the Account Executive with technical demos and tailored proposals.
What we're looking for
- 5+ years in software engineering, preferably with a client-facing role (Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Implementation Consultant).
- Solid in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript. Experience with REST APIs, relational databases, cloud (GCP/AWS).
- Experience in integrations with enterprise systems — ERPs, WMS, IoT sensors, data pipelines.
- Problem-solver mindset: you like to start with a customer case and not stop until it works.
- Clear communication, technical and non-technical. You'll talk to CTOs, compliance officers and plant operators.
- Advanced English (C1) — international customers + distributed team.
Nice to have
- Experience with blockchain / smart contracts (Solidity, EVM).
- Mobile dev (React Native) or experience with offline-first apps.
- Industry: food & agri, supply chain, logistics, or compliance tech.
- Experience implementing platforms in rural operations or with limited connectivity.
What we offer
- Competitive USD base salary (clear range from the first call).
- Equity for strategic early roles.
- 100% remote, flexible hours, async-first.
- Modern stack: Python/FastAPI, TypeScript (NestJS + React), GCP, LangGraph, Qdrant, Solidity.
- Heavy use of Cursor + Claude Code in the daily workflow.
- Budget for travel to customer visits and technical conferences.
- Continuous training — courses, books, conferences.
Process
- First call (30 min) — intro with CTO to understand your background and cultural fit.
- Technical interview (60 min) — deep technical conversation over real cases.
- Case study / take-home — a mini scoped project (4-6h) on a real integration. You present it on a call.
- Final round — meet the team (CEO, CTO, other SEs).
- References — we talk to 2-3 people who have worked with you.
- Offer within 48h of the previous step.
